East Chilton Firefighter Garett Nelson graduated from the Thorsby Recruit School on Friday May, 01, 2009. Firefighter Nelson completed Firefighter I/II and Hazardous Materials Awareness & Operations during this recruit school. The Recruit School consisted of 10 weeks of training and totaled 400 hours.

The personnel of East Chilton Fire Department congratulate Firefighter Nelson on this accomplishment. East Chilton would also like to thank the Thorsby Fire Department and all of the instructors who made the class a reality.

With Firefighter Nelson's graduation, he is now the 6th Firefighter I/II certified firefighter on East Chilton's roster.
